This food processor certainly isn't the cheapest around. Its retail price is $249, but as per usual Amazon offer it for significantly less than that. You can usually grab it for around $200 or less. Click on the "Add to Cart" link on your left to check out the latest prices. It will take you through to the Amazon website, where I usually buy my appliances from.

The main thing that I like about this food processor is its versatility. If you've read my reviews before you'll know that any appliance that can do more than one thing very well is worth something in my book. Savings costs and space on the kitchen counter means a lot to me. The Cuisinart Prep Plus does exactly that.

So what can you do with it? Be creative. You can chop, mix and slice WHOLE fruits and vegetables if you want to. Want to make bread? This little wonder can handle that also. It really does a lot of the work for you and it's a very dependable appliance.

The unique feature of the product is the motor. It has alternate speeds that ensure the mixing is done properly. Furthermore, the Dough Control technology even adjusts the speed of the motor automatically. This means that the dough will have even consistency without you having to fiddle around with the food processor while it's doing its thing. I love this feature, as other mixers often involve manual moving and kneading in between mixing to ensure consistency.

The Prep Plus is also extremely easy to clean. The design team have done a great job by making the housing rounded, which means it is much easier to handle and clean the product. The removable parts are dishwasher safe as well, always handy. The high-impact plastic means that you will have to be extremely clumsy to break it!

The appliance looks great as well, which is always a nice bonus. The photo doesn't really do it justice. It has a brushed stainless steel finish which gives it a more modern and 'expensive' look, if that makes sense. Cuisinart usually put a lot of emphasis on the look and feel of their appliances, as well as their function.

I definitely give this product a thumbs up. The price point is decent and if you get the Amazon discounted price, it's an absolute steal. It looks great, does everything to a high standard and it's extremely versatile. Its large capacity (11 cups) means you can use it to prepare food for the entire family. The only thing I would say is that it's probably a litte expensive if you're a single person and if you're not looking to use some of the additional features; the Cuisinart DLC-2ADY might be more suitable in that case.
